Repair kit
Repair kit — beach repairs
A small hole in the kite or a peeled valve does not have to end the session. With the right repair kit you make an emergency fix in minutes and get the kite safely off the water.
What is in the kit and how to use it
A typical kit contains self-adhesive canopy patches, material for Dacron sections, glue and instructions. The surface must be clean, dry and salt-free — a patch on a wet, salty surface will not hold.
When to see a repair shop
- A tear along a seam or on a loaded edge.
- A damaged bladder or valve.
- A rip longer than a few centimetres.
In those cases the emergency patch is only there to get the kite ashore — for a permanent repair, come to us.
Do not forget
A repair kit belongs in every bag, together with a pump and a spare leash.
