Kitesurf harnesses
The harness transfers all of the kite\u0027s power to your body, so comfort matters more than colour. We stock waist and seat harnesses from AK (Airush) and RRD, including women\u0027s models and versions with an integrated bar (\u201caerobar\u201d).
Waist or seat harness?
- Waist — sits above the hips, gives freedom of movement and is the standard for twintip riding and jumps.
- Seat — with leg straps, does not ride up; great for learning, foiling and riders with back issues.
How to pick a size
The harness should be snug but not painful — measure your waist circumference, not your trouser size. A properly fastened harness does not move when you pull the bar.
Spike, hook or rope
The classic hook is the most universal, while a rope slider is popular for strapless and wave riding because it allows sliding. All harnesses have a quick release for safe opening under load.
